A new study has revealed that the average FTSE CEO takes home 386 times more than workers on the national minimum wage.
This vast salary chasm was highlighted by the Equality Trust, as it stepped-up efforts to expose pay gaps.
Using data from 2015 annual reports, the trust calculated that, on average, CEOs pocket a trouser-bulging £5.3million a year, compared with a meagre £13,662 for someone on the national living wage of £7.20 an hour.
The latter figure would be less for someone below the age of 25.
