Home Office staff told not to tweet anti-Trump comments

Employees at the Home Office have been told not to post any negative comments regarding US President Donald Trump on social media.

The BBC reports that staff working for the digital side of the department were told that a select few of their tweets were not up to internal standards.  

The Register reports that employees were told that "a quick look through just a couple of known personal Twitter accounts of DDaT staff members shows that some are not compliant."

Furthermore, the UK Home Office added that the accounts stated “that they work for the Home Office, posting HO work, whilst tweeting or retweeting negative posts about, for example, [US President] Donald Trump.
