Chicago Cubs hires VP HR

There is a new Vice President of Human Resources at the Chicago Cubs.

Ann Weiser will, Chicago Business Journal reports, oversee the team's talent strategy. This includes: talent acquisition and development, staff engagement and retention, performance management and compensation and benefits.

Crane Kenney, the Cubs’ President of Business Operations, said: “We are delighted Ann is joining our organisation and the timing of her arrival, given the growth in operations and new ventures, is perfect.

“She brings a wealth of experience and will play a key role in supporting our outstanding team of associates during this important phase of our company's growth."
