Automation fears are widespread amongst the workforce, with many asking: could a robot do my job?
Not allaying any potential robot induced anxiety amongst their staff, insurance giant Aviva are asking its 16,000 employees if a machine could better perform their role – The Daily Mail reports.
If staff answer yes, they will be retrained for another position within the company – something executives around the world are doing to cut costs and boost efficiency.
It is predicted that Aviva’s call centre staff, and those who assess customers’ credit ratings and calculate the price of insurance, are most likely to have to change roles.
