Boss 'makes it rain' by dropping staff bonuses from balcony

Most employees would love to feel greater appreciation from their boss. Whether this takes the form of a simple thank you, involves an increase in compensation and benefits, or even a bonus – nearly all of us would happily accept.

News that one generous boss took employee appreciation a few steps further than uttering thank you, by showering his staff with wads of cash from a balcony to welcome them back from Chinese New Year, will have underappreciated workers turning green with envy.

One factory boss, from Foshan, China, made it rain in his own Jordan-Belfort-esque moment, by throwing red 100 yuan (£11.62) notes into an atrium within the company building.
