Is enough enough?

No two businesses are the same. Even if you operate in the same field of work, geographical area or have a business of the same size, there will be fundamental differences in your organisational culture, your people and how your organisation operates.

It is important, when you are thinking about tools to help make sure your vehicles and drivers are compliant, that you have are covering enough of the basics properly to protect both your organisation and your employees. Here we give you some of the main things to look out for when considering whether enough is enough:

Ease of Use: Is the tool intuitive? Can it be used how you want to use it? Check out to see if there is a free version you can try out before you start paying. Don’t be afraid to download and try products before you commit to any subscriptions or contracts. If you can’t try it before you sign up, you should consider how flexible the solution is going to be for you in the future.

Cost: Look at what you are getting for the money you may pay out. There are plenty of expensive, very comprehensive products on the market but ask yourself how much of that you are really going to use. Are there different levels you could consider? Which one will suit you best? Is there someone you can talk to to help you make the decision? Take a look at our new packages to give you an idea of what to look for

Flexibility: If you decide that you want to include newly available features, increase the number of employees in your organisation or just want to do more than you had previously been able to promote safety and compliance, you need to make sure that it will be simple to adapt the tools you have chosen as your organisation evolves. Ask about scalability, flexibility and the ability for your chosen partner to support you and your growing organisation.

Expertise: Does the company you are about to trust have the right expertise to help you with your problem? At Ambit, for example, our background is in creating software solutions for the workplace driving market. We don’t, however, make tyres so we don’t pretend we know all about them. Instead we have built a partner network who can offer the specialist expert advice we know we don’t have. You can check out who we work with here.

Ambit is launching our new product tier offerings that will make it even easier for you to pick a level of engagement that is right for your organisation and grow with you if you need it. Register your interest here and we’ll be in touch to talk to you about the right option for your organisation.
