The UK’s leading home-visiting optician and hearing specialist, The Outside Clinic has just taken delivery of 34 brand new Volvo’s following a solus agreement with the premium manufacturer secured at the end of 2016.
Having held a joint Honda/ Volvo account for the last five years, the new fleet comprises solely of Volvo’s V40 and V60 models to be utilised by The Outside Clinic’s team of field professionals who all favoured the popular business vehicles’ industry-leading safety technology.
The Outside Clinic has grown into an organisation with over 300 dedicated healthcare professionals and support personnel based around England, Scotland and Wales, and this year celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Neil Godfrey, Fleet Manager, The Outside Clinic, commented: “Technology plays a big part in our business with our opticians and audiologists carrying the latest in portable digital equipment to test in the home. Our patients are hugely dependent on our service so the reliability of our fleet vehicles is very important. Field staff can cover a lot of mileage in all sorts of weather conditions, so it’s also comforting to know they are well protected.

As duty of care is an integral part of its fleet, the delivery, supported by local Swindon dealership, Johnsons, saw The Outside Clinic’s 14 V40 D2 Momentum Navs and 20 V60 D2 Business Editions arrive equipped with Front and Rear Park Assist and driver support packs.

The Outside Clinic has agreed to a sole supply agreement with Volvo Car UK which will see approximately 180 of its fleet vehicles replaced with new Volvo’s over the next three years.
