Reinvigorate your employee benefits

Many organisations offer a wide range of employee benefits however many of the available benefits have utilisation rates of below 40%. As a result, it might be time to remind them of some of the ones that have been overlooked but may now be more pertinent to them than ever.

Recent research from benefits provider, Boostworks, has revealed that Gen Z workers are facing significant financial strain and are increasingly turning to their employers for practical support. Employees are worried about the cost of commuting during this uncertain economic period and concerns about fuel availability following the Iranian war.

However, many employers will not be looking to return to a hybrid working environment because they have raised their in-office requirements for workers after a protracted period of working from home due to the Covid restrictions. This is the point at which providing access to alternate modes of transport becomes crucial.

In an effort to lessen the financial burden of commuting, employers should reintroduce the Cycle to Work Scheme to employees, allowing them to take control of their commute and make informed travel decisions.
