
Companies must go further to support staff with children by normalising flexible working and improving childcare provisions.
That’s according to Hayley Fisher, People Director at Thomsons Online Benefits.
“Whilst having only half the parents of young children in work would have serious economic implications, individual businesses would also suffer. After-all, by the time employees typically reach parenting age (30 for women, 32 for men), they’re likely to be making a significant contribution to their organisation, making their loss costly and disruptive for the business,” She explains.
