'Tools they need' | Land Registry invests £2.3m in AI system to support hybrid working

The Land Registry is investing £2.3m in an AI-enabled customer service platform that will allow its call handlers to access information and respond to enquiries while working remotely.

The government body has appointed technology provider Route 101 to introduce a cloud-based system designed for a hybrid workforce, according to The Telegraph.

Employees will be able to view relevant customer information through a single platform when working from home. AI will also help the Land Registry manage periods of high call demand and generate suggested answers for staff dealing with callers.

Danielle Rodham, of the Land Registry, told The Telegraph: “We’re excited to partner with Route 101, whose in-depth knowledge of public services will help us deliver secure, responsive, efficient and digitally enabled services that meet the evolving needs of our customers, while giving our colleagues the tools they need.”
