The Office for National Statistics has released its latest NEET findings, which showed an estimated 981,000 young people not in education, employment, or training last quarter.
That figure represents a dip of about 30,000 when compared to the 1,012,000 NEETs recorded from January to March.
However, this number increased by 30,000 when compared with figures from April to June 2025.
An independent report commissioned by the Department for Work & Pensions outlined the scale of the problem, one it labelled a ‘generational fault line.'
