Workplace stability | London Fire Brigade becomes 300th Living Hours employer in UK

London Fire Brigade has today announced its commitment to providing secure working hours under the Living Wage Foundation as an accredited Living Hours Employer.

The London Fire Brigade is the first Greater London Authority functional body to accredit as a Living Hours Employer, supporting the Mayor of London's ambition to see all functional bodies accredited. 

300 UK employers have now committed to the Living Wage Foundation’s scheme as the London Fire Brigade accredits as a Living Hours Employer. 

Workplace reform 

The announcement comes as the Government closes its consultation (also today) on implementing new Employment Rights Act provisions around guaranteed hours, shift notice, and compensation for cancelled shifts.
