Broadband to blue sky | Kathleen Maes takes the helm as Gatwick CHRO

Kathleen Maes has taken the helm of London Gatwick’s HR operations as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Maes’ appointment, effective 17 August, sees her join the international aviation hub after over nine years of service at BT Group.

Maes had served as HR Director, Portfolio Business, Transformation and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) there since 2023, and prior to that role, she led global organisational transformation and the M&A agenda as HR Director Transformation and Europe.

Maes said of the appointment: "It’s an exciting time to join London Gatwick as we look forward to realising the benefits of the Northern Runway and embrace innovation and technology to keep improving the passenger and employee experience.
