Comms controversy | Football club admits email to long-serving staff 'should have been handled better'

A Premier League club has acknowledged that it mishandled changes to its matchday workforce after some long-serving staff were told by email that their services would no longer be required.

The email, sent by the AFC Bournemouth’s safety team around two weeks before the beginning of the 2026-27 season, informed affected workers that their contracts would not be renewed.
