Digital burnout | 95% of HR leaders report rising workloads as AI training demands grow

HR leaders are facing mounting workloads as artificial intelligence forces organisations to rethink workforce skills, recruitment and employee training, new research has found.

Research from The Coders Guild found that 95% of HR leaders have experienced rising workloads, while 91% said their responsibilities had increased over the past year.

The findings suggest that HR and learning and development professionals are increasingly being expected to lead workforce transformation programmes, redesign recruitment processes, establish AI governance frameworks and improve productivity, often without sufficient resources or training.

Although 78% of HR leaders expect AI to significantly change workforce skills requirements within the next three years, only 24% of organisations have a documented workforce strategy for the technology.
