‘Faster, fairer, safer’ | Employers urged to sign up as Better Hirer Scheme launched

Policymakers, talent acquisition leaders, and HR professionals came together on Thursday, 22 May, to launch the Better Hirer Scheme and commit to a better standard of hiring in the UK.

The scheme, created by the Better Hiring Institute (BHI), is a self-assessment framework through which employers commit to faster, fairer, and safer hiring.

In a welcome speech, the Viscount Camrose began by reiterating that the “cost to the UK of an ineffective hiring market” is “£75 billion a year.”

Viscount Camrose, supporter of the BHI, added that this does not include “the waste of time, the waste of effort and the waste of human potential when the hiring market doesn't fire on all cylinders.”
