'Leading the way’ | HSBC to run British Sign Language training for entire UK workforce

 HSBC UK is set to offer its entire workforce British Sign Language (BSL) training, continuing its efforts to break down barriers for people who are deaf or have hearing loss.

Over 23,000 employees will take part in an accredited BSL for Beginners e-learning course, helping them to pick up key words, phrases, and communication skills.

4,000 HSBC staff have already successfully completed a pilot programme.

Sally Williams, Head of Branch Network at HSBC UK, said the company is “delighted” to have become the first UK bank to offer BSL for Beginners training to its entire workforce.
