‘So crucial’ | Babcock International launches paid premature baby leave for UK employees

Babcock International Group has launched paid premature baby leave for its UK-based staff, expanding its existing suite of family-friendly workplace measures.

It has become the first company in the defence sector to sign the Employer with Heart Charter, in partnership with The Smallest Things, a charity that promotes the “good health of premature babies and their families.”

In a statement announcing the policy, Babcock said it will be “offering families the time and space they need during what can be a difficult and emotional period.”

Louise Atkinson, Chief People Officer, welcomed the new policy as a part of the firm’s “inclusive leave offerings.”
