'An overlooked tool' | HR leaders are seeing an increased demand for wellbeing support & benefits

From cost-of-living pressures to geopolitical tensions, wellbeing has never been more important, and HR leaders can attest to this. From the beginning of 2025, almost half (49%) of HR managers have seen an increased employee demand for wellbeing support, according to Reward Gateway | Edenred. Only one in ten (11%) say they haven’t seen any shift in wellbeing demand at all. 

When asking employees for their perspective, a quarter (26%) said the number of benefits they receive with a role is a priority, while another quarter (25%) say they consider benefits when choosing a job, though it is not a decision maker. On the other hand, 11% have not previously considered them, but may do so in the future. 

Overall, pension schemes are the most common benefit, offered to over three quarters (77%) of employees, followed by counselling (50%) and extended maternity and paternity leave (48%).
