'Skills that matter most' | Lloyds Banking Group to train all 67,000 staff to be AI-literate by end of the year

Lloyds Banking Group has launched a new internal AI Academy with an ambitious plan to make its entire workforce AI-literate by the end of 2026.

The programme will provide AI training to all 67,000 employees, regardless of role or technical background, as the Group looks to embed practical and responsible use of artificial intelligence across the organisation.

The AI Academy, which launches in January, will sit on the Group’s internal learning platform and offer bite-sized content including interactive modules, short courses, articles, podcasts, and peer-to-peer community learning. Training is tailored to how colleagues interact with AI, ranging from AI Users to Leaders, Builders and Enablers.

As a starting point, every employee will complete a short mandatory module titled Working with AI Responsibly, aimed at ensuring the safe and ethical use of AI in line with the Group’s standards.
