‘Critical' | Sainsbury's unveils new graduate training scheme - with AI skills at the core

Sainsbury’s has unveiled the launch of a new graduate training programme that will focus on skills in business-critical areas, including artificial intelligence and decision-making.

Announcing the ‘FutureMaker’ scheme, the supermarket said it has conducted research into the future needs of the firm.

It believes the skills graduates will pick up through the programme will be vital to driving growth and building a steady pipeline of talent across its back-office departments in the years to come.

Sainsbury’s launches new-look graduate training scheme

Sainsbury’s FutureMaker programme will run for two years, offering roughly 50 graduates the chance to rotate through the business and build skills in four key areas it has identified as shaping the future of retail: AI, business decision-making, change and transformation, and data analytics.
