JD Sports has settled a sexual harassment case with a former worker, apologising for the upset caused and promising to review its procedures.
Jayla Boyd, then 17 years old, was slapped on the bottom by a male supervisor while working part-time at a store in Belfast, and said she was "kept out" of the investigation process.
The sports-fashion retailer agreed to liase with the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI) and said the supervisor in question no longer works for the company.
JD Sports will pay Boyd £65,000 to settle the case.
