PwC is increasing efforts to prepare graduates for the tough reality of management consultancy through “resilience” training, its Chief People Officer has revealed.
Philippa O’Connor, PwC UK’s HR chief, told the Times that graduates are now given separate training due to “challenges” in coping with complex work dynamics.
Early-career hires at the professional services firm have been struggling post-Pandemic to adjust to their new roles, O’Connor said.
Why is PwC giving grads resilience training?
The CPO said that new training measures will give grads the “human skills” they are missing – despite those hires passing the company’s tough recruitment process.
