Industry News | Employment Hero launches partnership with Academy Training to train new payroll & HR professionals

Employment Hero, a leading employment management platform, has announced a new partnership with Academy Training, a provider of training and apprenticeships. The partnership will see Academy Training’s students using Employment Hero software to build their knowledge of payroll systems, learn key payroll functions and understand payroll terminology. 

Following the UK Government’s apprenticeship reforms in August, which have been designed to speed up workforce entry and provide greater flexibility, now is a good time for organisations to revisit how they recruit entry level talent through apprenticeship schemes. With the availability of accounting and HR roles showing a positive long-term outlook with a 2.2% year-on-year uptick, this partnership will help to prepare the next generation of the workforce. 

Through Academy Training’s blended delivery model - which combines tailored online content, virtual workshops, interactive classroom sessions, one-to-one coaching and customised learning - students will gain  the qualifications they need, but also the practical payroll experience to be job-ready from day one. By using Employment Hero’s platform, apprentices will learn in a real-world environment, giving them a head start in the HR and payroll profession.
