Industry News | Dayforce agrees $12.3bn deal to become private company through Thoma Bravo

HCM-technology firm Dayforce has agreed a definitive agreement with Thoma Bravo to become a privately owned company, in a $12.3billion all-cash deal.

Announced on Thursday last week, the transaction is expected to be completed in early 2026, a company statement said.

David Ossip, Chair and CEO of Dayforce, hailed the agreement, stating it would “accelerate our business - with our focus, resources, and product innovation all laser-pointed on leaping forward as the HCM leader for a world of work shaped by AI.” 

The company will continue to operate under the same name and brand after rebranding to Dayforce from Ceridian in early 2024.
