‘Stood down’ | EasyJet suspends pilot who reportedly roamed hotel 'drunk and naked'

EasyJet has suspended a pilot amid claims he roamed through a hotel drunk and naked, pending an investigation into the incident.

The captain, as yet unnamed, was reportedly seen walking without any clothes on through a five-star resort in Cape Verde.

Witnesses told the Sun they saw the individual spend several hours at the hotel bar before he made his way through the hotel, naked, approximately 36 hours before he was due to pilot a return flight back to Gatwick.

The EasyJet employee checked into the Melia Dunas Beach Resort and Spa, Cape Verde, after a flight out on 4 August.
