'Had enough' | Nuclear site staff stage strike amid claims of staff being bullied

Hundreds of workers at a nuclear plant construction site downed tools this week after alleged bullying by supervisors.

A group of mechanical engineers at the Hinkley Point C nuclear site in Somerset staged the walkout on Tuesday, amid deepening tensions.

The impromptu strike reportedly involved hundreds of staff out of a workforce of around 26,000 and was seemingly done without the support of trade unions.

A contract worker on the project told The Guardian that one of the incidents involved a senior manager bullying a young woman on the team.
