Head of HR, Bosch - 3,500 'Pulse Check' comments into a year of HR action

In April 2024, around 2,500 employees at Bosch UK & Ireland completed a ‘Pulse Check,’ an employee listening exercise which keeps the company’s HR team in tune with their thoughts, feelings, and feedback.

Amassing nearly 3,500 comments and a huge breadth of data points, the survey showed strong approval for Bosch UK’s leadership and their responsiveness; but also highlighted areas for growth, including problem-solving support, training recognition, and shared leadership value.

12 months on, Martina McGrath, Head of HR at Bosch UK & Ireland joins the HR Grapevine podcast to discuss how the business has turned the employee insights shared in 2024’s Pulse Check into concrete steps such as leadership training, improving collaboration, enhancing recognition, and working to shift the perception of coaching.
