There’s nothing like an HR tech conference these days to leave you feeling overwhelmed about the impact of artificial intelligence.

At the UK’s Learning & HR Technologies conference this week, for example, it felt as though a lifetime’s worth of talks and demos of AI, chatbots, and virtual assistants had been crammed into two days of relentless expo content.

All washed down with the customary never-ending stream of vendor-supplied coffee and sugar-packed freebies, it took a few moments to adjust to reality after stepping away from the hallowed halls of ExCeL London. Heartrate lowered a few notches, one began to reflect…
