As other major banks hit the headlines by exerting more control over when and where employees do their work, one CEO is doubling down on autonomy and flexibility.
Mark Mullen, CEO of Atom Bank, has no plans to end a four-day workweek first introduced in 2021—nor to axe flexible working policies that allow his employees the freedom to spend as much or as little time as they like in the office.
Speaking to Fortune, Mullen asserted that his approach to business is not a fluffy perk, but a necessary shift as AI reshapes the modern workplace: “I think a four-day week isn’t progressive, it’s bloody logical."
