Paint-maker AkzoNobel recognised for workplace menopause 'cultural shift'

Paints and coatings firm AkzoNobel has been awarded Menopause Friendly Accreditation (MFA) following a significant initiative to expand awareness, education, and training.

In a statement shared with HR Grapevine, the company said it has “successfully facilitated a cultural shift in the business.”

Employees at AkzoNobel – the parent company of household name brands like Dulux and PolyFilla – now feel “confident discussing menopausal symptoms and seeking the necessary support and adjustments.”

AkzoNobel honoured for culture of menopause awareness

The firm’s MFA status comes after a four-year ‘Menopause Awareness and Activity Programme,’ beginning in 2021 as an employee-led initiative.
