Met Police duo face hearing over alleged sexual & racial remarks to staff

Two Met Police officers will face a disciplinary probe over alleged misconduct at work, including racially and sexually motivated remarks and even claims that one officer broke wind in a female colleague’s face.

Police Constables Ben Jeffries and Wayne Sansom will answer allegations that their conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to the police force’s policies on: Discreditable conduct, authority, respect & courtesy and equality & diversity

It is alleged that between 2020 and April 2023, PC Jeffries made several "inappropriate and discourteous" comments to multiple colleagues on various occasions. 

These included sexual remarks and remarks that were motivated by race and sexuality, the Met has said.
