Tesco has announced plans to cut 400 jobs as part of plans to streamline the business.
The supermarket giant has become the third in a week to announce significant job losses, following recent announcements from rivals Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
Jobs will be impacted at in-store bakeries, mobile phone shops and the Tesco head office in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
The business said the move aimed to identify "more efficient ways of working" due to the increasingly competitive nature of UK supermarkets. They added they would support affected colleagues with finding alternative roles within the business.
