‘Family feeling’ | IKEA welcomes employees to '20+ club,' revealing the secrets of multi-decade retention

How much do your employees love your company culture? Enough to stay for five years? For ten?

Few could hope that their most prized colleagues would be prepared to stay with them for over twenty years of outstanding service. Indeed, such a tenure is a fair whack longer than the lifecycle of most businesses.

But furniture-maker IKEA can boast a handful of such dedicated employees, recently welcoming them to a ‘20+ club’.

In a blog post on the company website, IKEA invited those employees to consider why they took up their first post at the company and, more importantly, why they have chosen to continue their employment for more than two decades.
