Young people most at risk of burnout at work, study shows

The number of younger workers needing time off for stress has grown compared with older colleagues, according to a new report on burnout.

Charity Mental Health UK published findings of its second Annual Burnout report, which takes the pulse of the nation’s stress levels. 

The survey of 4,418 UK adults conducted by YouGov found that the risk of burnout remains prevalent, with 34% of adults experiencing high or extreme levels of pressure or stress ‘always’ or ‘often’ last year, compared with 35% the previous year. 

Meanwhile, 91% experienced high pressure or stress at some point over the last year.
