The Groucho Club will reopen after having its license reinstated following a rape allegation—provided it meets 13 recommendations including welfare training for employees and staff monitoring of toilets.
The famous private members’ club, located in Soho, London, was temporarily shut down after allegations that a woman was raped inside the venue on November 13.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and subsequently been bailed until February.
On Wednesday, while onlooking Groucho staff cried, a Westminster city council lifted the suspension of the venue’s license, allowing it to reopen with immediate effect.
