CPO, Aviva - We're not 'skills-based', but L&D is essential to our culture

As we bring the HR Grapevine Podcast to a temporary close at the end of 2024, we mark the end of the year with a fantastic episode alongside Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer at Aviva.

Although Harmer says she would avoid describing the business as ‘skills-based’ – rightly wary of the buzzword’s vague definition – she emphasises that L&D is a fundamental part of Aviva’s culture.

On this episode, we discuss the topic of L&D ‘personalisation,’ the programmes Aviva has been focused on in 2024, and look ahead to the future of skills development at the company in 2025 and beyond.

A final thank you to all those who have joined us on the HR Grapevine podcast in 2024 and to everyone who has listened! If you’d like to appear on the podcast in 2025, feel free to get in touch by emailing [email protected].
