More than 1,000 Ford employees went on strike this week in a dispute over pay and contract changes.
A long running dispute at Ford over pay and contract changes involving administrative staff escalated into strike action for 24 hours, beginning on Wednesday October 30th.
Unite, the UK’s leading union, said Ford has failed to offer its workers a permanent pay increase.
Instead, the company has offered many of its office workers a one-off payment for 2024 and wants to impose 100 per cent performance related pay from 2025 for all staff.
