More than 1m women seeking new jobs that offer menopause support

More than one million women are currently looking for new jobs which offer support for staff with menopause, new research reveals.

Furthermore, more than 60% feel uncomfortable discussing the issue with HR.

The findings came as part of a a nationwide survey, commissioned by Fertifa, the UK/Europe’s leading reproductive health benefits provider, and created in conjunction with leading menopause clinical specialists and physicians Miss Charlotte Cassis and Mr Gidon Lieberman, which drew more than 3,000 responses. This is the largest survey ever conducted in the UK focussed on workplace access to menopause support, and the results are too impactful to ignore.

The new data reveals the extent to which UK industry is failing women through a continued absence of workplace support for menopause. The survey also highlights what has already been widely suspected: menopause symptoms are having a measurably detrimental impact on women in the workplace.
