Insurance giant Lloyd’s of London is monitoring the swipe card activity of its employees amid concerns about office attendance rates.
The Telegraph reports that the centuries-old firm is tracking the data of how often workers are swiping in at its HQ in the City of London, to paint a fuller picture of who is adhering to the company’s hybrid mandate, amid concerns that the office is sparsely used on Mondays & Fridays in particular.
A Lloyd’s spokesman said: “Like any employer with a physical office space, we collect pass entry and exit data to ensure building security.
“We retain our position of Lloyd’s Corporation staff working with their line managers to ensure they are performing their work duties both flexibly and in the office.”
