UK employees could be weighed at work under new workplace NHS ‘health MOTs’, including blood pressure, BMI and blood tests.
Health executives have said that by targeting 130,000 UK workers, they can reach those most likely to have serious health concerns mid-life, and can save lives.
The £7million scheme will go until March and see the NHS pair up with local councils to target large employers.
The check up will consist of a BMI measurement, a blood test, a lifestyle questionnaire, and blood pressure check.
