An unfair dismissal tribunal has ruled that a former First Bus employee discriminated against his manager by calling her a “bint” in the workplace, finding that the decision to sack him was “reasonable.”
The ex-employee had filed an unfair dismissal complaint against the travel company after being sacked over his remarks, the Daily Mail reported.
The worker, Scott Chatterton, claimed he had heard the word on Coronation Street, and was reportedly unapologetic about his remarks.
Chatterton, a bus operator, called his boss a ‘dozy bint’ and ‘dumbo’ in messages to his colleagues.
