We’ve all been there. It’s 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon and it seems like your workload hasn’t reduced for the past week.

If you’re a manager, this is likely compounded by the fact your team are messaging you – about annual leave, how to perform a task, a client-related problem, or more.

There are literally hundreds of things your team could be coming to you for when you're a leader in an organisation. Often, these points of contact are welcome for a manager, who usually has most of the answers. But sometimes, a message from a team member might get left unopened for a while or ignored altogether.

And apparently, this phenomenon is growing, as more managers are reportedly ‘ghosting’ their team – the people who report to them – than ever.
