The UK's unemployment rate has fallen slightly, while wage growth has shown a slow down, official figures show.
The latest labour market overview from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows that average weekly earnings, excluding bonuses, were 5.4% higher than a year earlier in the three months to the end of June, down from 5.8% in the three months to May and the lowest since August 2022.
However, the jobless rate fell from 4.4% to 4.2%, its lowest since February.
The number of people in work rose by 97,000, far more than the 3,000 forecast by economists.
