Worker broke wind on younger colleague to 'take him down a peg or two'

An employee has won a tribunal case after being subjected to a series of shocking incidents, including a colleague deliberately breaking wind on him while he was eating lunch. 

The employee, identified only as 'the Claimant' for legal reasons, took their case to the tribunal after resigning from the role as a Neighbourhood Caretaker with Birmingham City Council.

The resignation came after a series of distressing encounters with a colleague named Lee Marsh, which the tribunal found to be instances of direct age discrimination and harassment.

Marsh attempted to downplay his actions, but a judge ruled his behaviour fell “outside the realms of acceptable workplace banter”.
