Numerous junior members of the crew on the BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing have revealed the culture behind the scenes of the show is ‘toxic’.
Fifteen current and former members of staff, who predominantly perform the role of being a ‘runner’, which is generally a low-paid assistant on a production set, allege to BBC News a toxic culture for junior staff on the show.
This news comes following contestants, such as Laura Whitmore, Amanda Abbington and Zara McDermott, making allegations about being treated badly on the show.
"I think it’s awful for the celebrities who suffered, but I think for the crew it’s a much bigger problem," said a video editor who had worked with the Strictly crew.
