Matt Groening, the creator of the hit animated TV show The Simpsons, has been accused by a former employee of failing to prevent sexual harassment, sexual assault and battery, whilst working as a property manager at his home.
Giovanna Scotto is suing Groening, claiming he and his wife, Agustina Picasso, failed to protect her from a coworker’s harassment at the Santa Monica estate.
Scotto claims that a fellow colleague sexually assaulted her by grabbing her breasts, bottom and kissing her on the mouth without her consent.
She also claims she received unsolicited text messages from the colleague, who called her “sweetheart” and told her he missed her. Scotto says in one message the colleague said to her: “I miss you so much I love you I hope you are well I love you I love you. I love you how is our son.”
