Goldman Sachs CEO goes to Paris Olympics despite telling staff not to - what is the price of hypocrisy?

Goldman Sachs’ CEO, David Solomon, recently came under scrutiny for going to the Paris Olympics after telling the rest of his colleagues they weren’t allowed to.

Reportedly, the bank’s boss has jetted to the French capital to dine with the nation's President, Emmanuel Macron, and party with the wealthy elite.

This might seem expected for a bank CEO’s schedule, but what makes it unusual is that Solomon has reportedly told his staff to not “wine and dine clients at the Paris Games without prior approval”.

According to the New York Post, plans to ban staff from attending the Olympics were put forward in an attempt to stop employees from going to the event at the company’s expense.
