New research has shed light on the challenges currently plaguing hiring managers across various industries, including AI-generated CVs, poor candidate quality and employee wellbeing.

In a recent survey conducted by Talos 360, an overwhelming 96% of respondents reported facing substantial difficulties in managing their workforce.

The survey highlights a range of issues, with employee retention topping the list as the most pressing concern. Drawing insights from over a thousand employees and hundreds of hiring managers in the UK, the survey provides valuable perspectives on the factors that matter most to employees in today's workplace.

The top talent challenges found in the research were:

Employee Retention (41%): Employee retention emerged as the biggest challenge, with 41% of hiring managers indicating it as a major issue. This highlights the difficulty organisations face in keeping their talent engaged and committed in an increasingly competitive job market.
