The leading union for professional footballers is reportedly seeking conversations with Manchester United over the club’s handling of the women’s team.
Reports from sports media outlet The Athletic say that the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) is “ready to seek conversations with Manchester United after being made aware of growing discontent regarding the club’s management of their women’s team.”
News surfaces earlier this week that the men’s team will be moving into the women’s facilities at United’s Carrington training ground, while the main building undergoes a season-long £50m renovation, aimed at modernising facilities to create a high-performance environment for the men's team.
This means that, when training schedules overlap, the women’s team will be turfed out of their purpose-built £11m building and be moved into portacabins.
